In 2001, Scott made a decisive pivot to study computer science at Clark University. Here, he would advance from PC technical services training to mastering networking platforms, achieving both A+ and Network + certifications, and becoming highly skilled in various hardware and software operating protocols.

Robinson continued to increase his IT knowledge while working in various business capacities, completing various continuing education coursework, including Microsoft Exchange Server management and SQL Server 2000 administration.

Responsible for designing and configuring IT networks for this food manufacturing company, including setting up servers, routers, workstations, tele/data cablings, data backup, and software installations to support desktop, wireless, smartphone, and peripheral IT equipment rollouts. Robinson oversaw the company’s migration to Office 365 for all end-users and ensured the smooth transfer of corporate data, such as emails, shared calendars, business contacts, and corporate files.

Eze Castle Integration – Director of Project Management

Robinson’s managerial role as this IT Managed Services Provider included managing seven offices across the US with 13 direct reports, providing strategic leadership, and daily operational oversight of the company’s service implementation groups. He created new and improved initiatives for system-wide processes and IT procedural integration and handled complex cloud migration, hardware upgrades, and office buildout projects.

Racepoint Group – Director of Information Technology

At Racepoint, a company that helps its tech-forward clients shape and lead industry conversations that matter, Scott oversaw the strategic management and execution of all IT operations for this global communications agency. This included the close supervision of end-user implementation teams and external vendors, with whom he negotiated consulting contracts and service agreements.

Todd & Weld LLP – Director of Information Technology

Oversaw the implementation of IT systems for this Boston law firm,  including planning system architecture, disaster recovery protocols, IT contract negotiations, and purchasing the firm’s hardware and software assets. He collaborated directly with executive management to achieve the firm’s IT goals, including data center reorganization and software upgrades.

Awards

In 2015, Scott Robinson of Andover was awarded the Eze Castle Founders Award for his contribution to the company’s highly successful 2014 performance.  The company recognized Robinson for his innovative IT managerial practices that helped the company introduce cloud solutions to its core services. He was also awarded the Lawyers Weekly Unsung Hero IT Specialist award in 2006 for providing critical operational support to a local law firm.

Personal Life

Growing up near Boston, Scott spent much of his free time in the mountains in NH, VT, and ME and on Cape Cod, exploring miles of coastal land and natural trails and enjoying weekend excursions, including backpacking, clamming, and crabbing. He is an accomplished fisherman skilled in a wide range of water sports, including scuba diving, water skiing, and boating. Scott has participated in the Boston Marathon twice and enjoys travel adventures around the world and locally with his wife, Belinda.

Robinson has enthusiastically backpacked through Thailand, Japan, and many parts of Europe, including Ireland, England, France, and the Netherlands. In his earlier days, he did a summer internship in New York City, drove across the US, and temporarily lived in Seattle, WA. Scott and his wife enjoy local adventures and discovering the hidden gems often found off the beaten path.
